It makes me sick! Chaves and Ortega need some of thier own medcine if ya ask me.
Yes, we too are concerned. My mother just returned from Nicaragua last week. She plans on retiring there if she can. She and her family were run out of the country when the Sandinistas took over the first time!
Jungle mom, it is sad indeed. We are concerned not only about that but also about the students who are detained right now, some of them in prison already. Luckily no one of my friends was caught by the police, but theres many teenagers, under 18 in the list of prisioners. Also thers many many students wounded. Despite of that, I have recover my faith again, perhaps us, the students if Venezuela decides to fully support us on this fight, can make the difference. And even if it doesnt change, right now, im afraid, but at least im proud, and i have some hope. A little, but it counts. Just thought I might give you some of my optimism.
Liz, I read your comment at Daniel's about how the children were taken away from the parents! Literally, Yanked by their arms and legs!! What is happening here? Did you see that or someone else?
Jungle Mom: I believe that the students there will fight to the end to maintain their freedoms. At this point, from what I have seen on Fox News, I think Chavez may be bitting off more than he can chew. I just pray for the safety of all of the good people there.
Jungle Mom, very good reporting. Some, all they want is power and when they get it they abuse it and use it for wrong purposes. I am praying for you all and all the people of Venezuela. May God's will be done. connie from Texas
Liz and Jungle mom... don't worry, I know how to take care of myself. Im so worried for the ones who are in prison right now, one goes to my university. Dont really know him, but feels like it could be me. The international community should keep an eye on those cases.
Rita, I'm so glad you are back! I've been riveted to Adam Housley's blog on Fox-he is there on the streets of Caracas and gives udates throughout the day.
Hey glad you all are back safely. I've seen lots on Fox News today about all the rioting. Sean Hannity had an entire segment about it tonight with emphasis and a guest emphasizing how Americans need to show solidarity with the protestors who want their country back! Love you and will call you later.

Hope your mini-vacations were great. You were missed...
I have no words today, things are pretty difficult to understand at this moment.
For Julia: cuídate mucho, sí?

A co-worker of my husband, saw a celphone video taken by a neighbor yesterday.
I'm not sending my boy to school this week. They are taking underage or teenagers to scare the population (and my boy is too tall for his age!)

I would not risk it! My kids are too vocal..like me! I just want it to all be over and back to pre-1999!
Ay Rita.. we were so happy then, and we didn't appreciated it.

Just checking in to say I got your comment on my blog and so glad you are back in contact. You are and will continue in my prayers.
Please take care of yourselves.
JM: I think the VE should never surrender to these thugs like Iranians did to the Islamic Party of savages during the revolution. Stay safe.
My prayers are with and the people of Venezuela. May you have victory over this thug and his thugs!
