You go girl !!!
Just for the record, I would love to share a few thoughts with Letterman! As the mother of two teenage daughters, 14 and 18, I feel that this was totally uncalled for in any circumstance and that any parent ought to think the same.
Have you noticed the disparaging way young women refer to themselves these days? Using words that in my day even a drunken sailor would not utter in the company of a lady! This type of entertainment and humor only adds to the problem.
Not funny in any context, but can you even imagine if someone made such a joke in regards to one of Obama's daughters????? I would find it just as tasteless and wrong, but what about that double standard?

As a woman I am insulted. David Letterman angers me. I would not trust him around my daughters or myself.

I have never thought Letterman was funny - I find him to be an incredibly disgusting person.
Yes Dawn which is why he has to stoop so low to get any ratings! Did anyone else notice the headline at the top of the video clip before it started? Announcing that Palin continues to distort Letterman's statements! Putting the blame on her, God love her!

This is going beyond the pale. I'm so sick of all the insults that are hurled at Sarah Palin and her family. And as you say young women in general.

Man alive, I am sick of people making jokes about child abuse. Letterman is nauseating. I hope it effects more of his audience like it effects me.
What a sad thing. I hope his wife and mother both yelled at him when he got home.
Only a year ago, Imus made a far-less, degradating comment about the members of a girls' basketball team, and he was FIRED BY the same boss that Letterman has.
Letterman has never been funny, since he left NBC, snubbed for the 'Tonight Show' chair over there.
He's become sullen, tiresome and irritating, an embarrassment to CBS.TV.
Yet one more reason not to like him.
Years ago Letterman was actually funny. Now he is just an angry old guy.
