This makes me very sad too.
Those who have died should be listed as casualties in the war on terror. Another typical attack by Islamic terrorist. We are praying for the families of the fallen.HTOITA
You survive the war and think you are safe at home. Nowhere is safe, we seem to have forgotten that, we are at war with an ideology and it will never be over. War weary Americans think that we can just take our ball and go home. I heard some idiot on the radio today say we can't afford the war and should leave the battlefield. This just shows we can't escape the battlefield, the battlefield is global.
I'm almost afraid to turn on the news anymore because it's one awful thing after the other. Praying and praying...
ayup.love that statue you know.
I have a friend who has a very liberal blog. I read some of the comments concerning these events that were posted there. Without exception, there was not one word about the victims. The people writing the comments were only upset because coverage of the crime included the Islamic name of the shooter, which these people interpreted as "yellow press" journalism and as unfair to Muslims. It's hard to believe there are people out there that think that way, but there are.
I have been to Fort Hood many times. Including just after the Luby's massacre in 1991. 23 were killed then including many in the "hood family. Now it's happened again. I have friends and loved ones stationed there. Fortunately every one were somewhere else at the time. Including my Goddaughters husband who may actually be safer in Iraq.
