Jungle Mom is...

~digging her way out from under a million boxes

~tired of cleaning up the filth of the last renters

~finding out her washer and dryer do not fit in the house

~figuring out how to function in a kitchen with no cabinets and only one power outlet

and...
she woke up to find a donkey and two horses in her yard this morning!

Good heavens...what a life you lead! A donkey AND two horses? Only ONE outlet??

I'll be praying for you! Seriously! The donkey and horses I could live with. The one outlet thing has me stressing...

Unpack the boxes of stuff you need right away. Take your time with the others (The Christmas stuff can wait.). Have hubby build you some cabinets, get an electrician in for more outlets.

Find some hay and feed your new pets.

WOW,sounds like you really stepped into it, but knowing you, you will overcome and turn that humble dwelling into a palace.

My prayers are with you. God Bless.

Kinda like living in the Jungle.

I had a goat wonder through my yard yesterday morning, and a bird fly inside last night.

But then I live in a 3rd world place called rural South Carolina

It's always an adventure

good luck w/ the washer

I know you must be tired.

Love the donkey horse thing..you know Rita when I first moved to Venezuela in the late 60's, i was fascinated that I could buy a burro for 5 bolivars.

Chickens would ramble in and out of the bedrooms at will, and small monkeys would steal baby bottles out of my children's hands. This was in San Juan de los Morros.

I miss those days.My microwave seems like a booby prize in many ways.

Perhaps the solution to your power problem lies in the front yard...

Sounds grueling! What a process you've gone through so far.

Remember back awhile when I told you our friends were moving from Peru to Paraguay as missionaries. Then the mission board changed their assignment to Venezuela instead. Now, a couple of years later, they are going to Paraguay. They were home this morning and I told them about you. They are really anxious to try to connect with you. They are going to be in Asuncion. Are you moving to Ciudad del Este? How far is that? Could you send me your e-mail address so I can give it to them. Their names are Jimmy and Zeida Lynch - Zeida is Peruvian and is just now going for American citizenship so she can get in and out of the US for mission business.
