On Loving God

"Our relationship to God is mirrored in our relationship with our neighbor, and our family is made up of our closest neighbors. The state of our marriage, our relationship to our kids, and our relationship to our friends and coworkers all reveal the condition of our relationship to God. If we are serious about loving God, we must be serious about loving our neighbors." ~ Nancy Wilson

That was something that I believe was well said indeed! Even though I am not too sure about the existence of God that still works for me and it should work for even an atheist almost if not just as well. Well, maybe the God part would not work for an atheist but they could substitute themselves or the universe or anything they value highly above other things and it should work for them. Loving our neighbors is the key, or so I think, to the golden rule of "Do unto others..." Of course, it works best for those who do believe in God but there is nothing preventing any non-believer from loving their neighbors nor from living by the golden rule. I hope I said that right to explain, my feelings on the subject, to others.

All the best and Happy New Year,
Glenn B

Jungle Mom,
I'm stopping by to wish you Bountiful New Year's Blessings.

We who are called by Him KNOW that we can count on Him to bless us. We claim that promise -- especially during hard times.
