Jungle Mom meets "CHE" in Wal Mart

So I m walking around Wal Mart enjoying all the abundance of capitalism, when , lo and behold! A young latin man with a Che look alike hair cut and Che on his hat walks around the corner.

EXCUSE ME!!!!

So, of course, I had to engage him on conversation!

I asked if he spoke Spanish but he answered in Portuguese. We did manage to understand each other though. I asked if he realized how insulting it was to come to my country and wear a picture of a mass murderer who shot and killed young children with his own hand?!?!?!

He thought I was making it up. I know I could not wear a Bush T shirt in Caracas so why can he come here and wear CHE???

I don't have time for a lot of blogging but really, a communist at the capitalist icon of Wal Mart!!!
Talk about hypocritical!

I'm glad that you're your old self: alive and kicking!

Rita, you know.. young people just like che's looks.(he's supossed to be cool). They don't have any idea about his life and murderer history.

This guy had no idea who he was crossing paths with! I'm thinking God knew this meeting would take place :)
Ouch! You go Jungle Mom! How dare he wear that shirt?!

I can't stand Che t-shirts. I think all che shirts should look like this one: http://thoseshirts.com/muerto.html
Or maybe like this:http://thoseshirts.com/reaganche.html

I have been too civilized. I used to confront people like that but now I've gotten old and tame. I don't even wear my "Get Saved or Else" cap anymore. tsktsktsk

Thank you for confronting him.

GOOD FOR YOU! We Americans have become the worlds biggest wimps allowing anyone to do whatever they want in our country. I am proud of you!

That's only one deviancy a lack of education leads to. Unfortunately there are others that are worse.

On the other hand, I know some very educated people who believe in communism. I think that's more of a lack of moral education.

I do understand the frustration you must have felt, but I must say I had to giggle at your post. Sorry. You know, you could have smacked him in Christian love....but I don't guess that would have been very nice.

Good for you! I love it when people stand up and say/do what's right! You know it's funny. The media would say he has the right to offend us, but if it were you in Caracass they'd say you don't have the right to offend them. HOORAY FOR RITA!

He gets away with it because we have a secular-progressive society who strives to understand everyone's point of view, even those of mass murderers! GAG! Also, we have a tremendous amount of stupid citizens who wouldn't recognize Che's picture on a T-shirt if their lives depended on it.

Yes, those CHE t shirts are quite popular among the young people now and they don't even know who he was!! Its time for parents to educate their kids, don't ya' think? So sad and sickening. I want to go throw up now!

The irony is that Walmart probably sold him the hat.

Socialist/Communists have no shame. They are all hypocrites, but they see nothing wrong with that. It is only when a Conservative acts hypocritical that the leftists have apoplexy.

I had to look up this Che guy, never heard of him before. And now that I have, I'll probably see his name every where now.

Sounds more like irony, to me.

And unintentional, if he thought you made it up. It's amazing how little today's youth know about Western history.
