I have a strong stomach, and could probably eat em if hungry enugh - that is the worms. The grubs, on the other hand, look rather appelaing whenever I have seen them fried or roasted in the pan. One day I'll try em.
I've always thought I could go to the mission field because food doesn't usually gross me out, but . . . wow. I'd be right over, but I think it's my night to wax the cat.
That's just nasty, but then so are pickled pigs feet. Although I suppose if I was raised on them I wouldn't think so. I wonder what we eat that would gross them out? When I was in the German hospital recently, the nurse nearly died when she saw me eating a ham, egg and cheese crossandwitch from Burger King for breakfast. Thouroughly disgusted she was. lol Mostly they just eat bread with butter or jam for breakfast.
I love lot of foods that not exactly main-line America: Squid, octopus, alligator, etc. I've always said I'll try any food once, but I don't know if I could handle the palm grubs or earthworms. With me, it might rank right with balut!
