Jungle Mom Goes "RED" !!!

I used to like to wear red.

Several years ago, I began to shy away from wearing red. Although my eye is drawn to the color, I refused to purchase any clothing in red.

Until two weeks ago. I finally bought myself two red tops!

It happened that I had been gifted with monies expressly for the purpose of buying myself some clothing. I found a top I liked, but it was red. I told my friend, "Too bad it's red." She asked my why that mattered and I began to explain that I no longer wore red because I did not want to be identified in any way with Chavez or Chavistas!

She said to me, "BUT...you are not in Venezuela any more."

Yea! I'm not!

And I LIKE red!

So I bought the two tops!

( Cuidado Lina Ron!)

Just in time it seems! Because now, I will be forced to 'cooperate' with the covert agencies of the regime or I could end up in prison for 2 - 4 years!

( H/T Farmer John)

Following the entry into force of the National Intelligence and Counterintelligence System Law enacted on Wednesday by President Hugo Chávez, any Venezuelan or foreign individual, corporation or non-governmental organization is bound to "cooperate" with covert agencies as needed.

Anyone refusing to meet the request for help will be "causing damage to security, defense and comprehensive development of the nation." Therefore, under the Organic Law on Security of the Nation, ordinary people are subject to 2-4 years of prison and public servants could be held from four to six years.

The recently enacted legal instrument, composed of 29 articles and two transitory provisions, considers that "national or foreign individuals and corporations, as well as bodies and entities of the national, state and municipal public administration; social networks; grassroots and community organizations, are entities set to back intelligence and counterintelligence activities, where their cooperation to obtain information or for technical support, is requested by the bodies of special competence jurisdiction.

You just broke the 'redheads don't look good in red' rule...GORGEOUS, Rita!

My stepdaughter does work in Caracas and is there for weeks at a time......even the poor taxi drivers tell her they hate Chavez, let along the middle class, very hard working entrepreneurs she's doing business with. Awful stuff happening there.

Your red top is really cute and you look beautiful in it.
I wore red yesterday to a bridal shower. I used to look pretty good in red when my hair was dark, but now it's mostly gray. That sure changes things!

Thank our Lord we live in a land we can wear any color we choose.
You look great in red, and we've always got the white and blue to go with it.

We need to remember there are crazies out there with even crazier rules.

Red is your color (for tops).

As for Hugo C, and his new law, well it is all starting to sound very Hitleresque, or Stalinese, but so far without the exterminations of people (as far as we know).

It seems a shame to think what I am thinking, but my guess is that world war is much closer than we think, and it will again be waged against us by a group of tiny countries (those countries that are so small as not to seem a threat to guys like Barack Obama). You know, countries just like were: Germany, Italy, Japan just before WWII broke out. Little, unimportant, inconsequential mole hills.

All the best,
Glenn B

You look great in Red, Rita. Chavez does not. But come to think of it, I don't believe he'd look great in any color.

I just posted on this today and it is very troubling.

It's amazing that so many leftists in this country complain that President Bush threatens civil liberties and yet those same people worship Hugo Chavez.

There was a 70% OFF sale at my local TRAKI store. It was the red clothing sale and though i like the color, and i can hardly ever pass a sale, I didn't buy anything. And by the looks of it, not many people did.

I noticed that law also. Seems like Chavez needs to build some Gulags.
