Jungle Mom ... Checking in

Our internet service was disconnected ahead of the planned day and caught me off guard. Sorry to have dropped off the face of the earth, so to speak. We are fine, but very busy. Also without our phone.

On the personal level it has been very emotional these last days. The church had a despedida for us last night with a video tribute to our twenty years here and lots of testimonies from people in regards to their memories of us. I feel very drained emotionally, I cry easily right now.

On the news front, lots of bad news. Some I am not free to share. Some pretty heavy stuff ahead with the new constitution and Education Laws are very frightening for any parent.

Saturday I listened to the nationalized speach of HHH and it was very hateful and immature. Full of anger. Once again we see that he is using the Imperial American invasion to distract people from the student protests. The key note was that the US will try to fight the revolution with their Superman mentality , but Superman will be defeated by the RED Kryptonite he finds here in the revolution!

Yes, we are gointg to invade Venezuela to take the oil!!! Anyday!! Did you not know? Even school children are being taught they are the last line of defense against the evil gringo.

I do not know when or if I will be able to get to a computer to post next. I do ask for your prayers. Some of the new laws are very scary for those of us with Venezuelan children. Some people are still in what I consider denial. Wait and see...maybe He will not do all he says. I will risk much, but not my children.

Your children are not your own - They belong to the Great King of the Universe.

He loves them, He is in control, and kryptonite has no control over HIM!

Are your kids Venezuela, by birth? And what are the new laws, what do they say? Would the Venezuelan gov't try to force your kids to stay if you leave?

I assume you had your kids registered as US citizens if they were born abroad, got them passports, and kept the passports up-to-date. Is there any US consulate that can help if needed?

Answer when you can; I'll check back periodically. I hope you, and your family, come out OK...

Just finished helping my sister and BIL with a BIG move from Austin to Temple, so have a pretty good idea of the emotional and physical challenges you're dealing with minus the political ones of course.

When we invade, I've got dibs on the Valle Arriba Country Club. You know how us ex-military types love our golf.

Sacrifice is lack of rice and beans....not a God-given child you have been ordained to birth, love and protect as well as teach!!

I know how heavy your heart must be....our hearts and prayers go with you!

JungleMom: I have been away from my blog for a couple of days also, due to an unfortunate and uncalled for incident which left me with a lot of anger and hurt, but I am back, and praying once again for you and your family.

Don't count on Herr Chavez not to do all he says he will do. Tyrants always carry through.

Just stay safe and get home (stateside) as soon as possible.
