Christmas Day in Paraguay

Christmas on a bright, summer day!

Beautiful center pieces on the patio table.
It's hot... Let's eat out side!
(Thanks, Brenda!)

Gifts shining in the glow of a mid day sun.

How beautiful! I like the upside-down glass idea for candle holders. :]

Mrs. C, my friend Brenda did all the decorations. They were perfect!

It's hot, is it? It went up into the 60's yesterday here in Michigan due to freak warm spell. It melted all of the snow that we got just before it went down into single digits. Now it's cold again.

But what the heck, enjoy the heat. I will in June.

Very nice and festive! I LOVE the upside down glass idea too!

The original Saturnalia festival had elements of things being "turned upside down" as well... is that something traditionally "Paraguayan" or does it originate in a more ancient end-of-year/ "overturning" tradition

berty, it's more like a "I saw it in a Martha Stewart magazine" tradition!

I loved the idea for the centerpieces! I'll have to file that away in my memory! OOPS I forgot, I have no memory left! Our Christmas was pretty hot this year as well. NOT as hot as yours for sure but near 80.
