Good News

I don't know when I will be able to post all the details, but, we heard yesterday that our final legal problem in Venezuela has been resolved! We were reluctant to believe it and had to confirm all the facts, because this has been an ongoing battle for over 20 months. But...it is true and has been confirmed by the the US authorities!

This problem involved our plane and the Venezuelan government. We were charged illegal fines of up to $120,000 US. And at another point, $87,000 US. All of this became so difficult and hostile that the US State department became involved.

All charges are cleared!!!!

All fines are canceled!!!!

I have often asked for prayer for this matter and was not able to discuss it with you all in detail, but prayer has made a difference! In spite of the desires of some cabinet level ministers of the Venezuelan government, God has allowed for this to be worked out in our favor!!! Amen!!!

Rejoicing with you.

I met a guy from BIMI in Lancaster that had good things to say about you. Can't remember his name.

Send a mission packet to our address if you will and we will take you on with regular prayer. Too small to add $ for you.

I come to visit after a few weeks and this is the best news I've heard all day. What a relief. I'm so happy for you. I've been busy with work and don't have much time to blog or browse my favorite blogs. I've missed you.

JM,

I didn't know about this problem until I read this message.

Most disturbing, though, is that Venezuela actually has the power to collect a fine against an American in America??

When the Judge is your Father, your Lawyer is your Big Brother and the Witness is your Best Friend...heheheheheh! I love a rigged court!
It is a huge praise, I'm sure that the government would have loved to seize the plane and any assets the mission board had in country, but instead they have to wave bye-bye!
My heart goes out to the indians that are stuck without that lifesaver! May G*D have mercy, continue to work among them, strengthen and uphold them and reveal HIMSELF mightily to them!
Good morning, G*D bless and Maranatha!

Halleluiah!

Our God is an awesome God!

We are rejoicing with you by making homemade blueberry scones and eating them without you because if I sent them to you they'd be ruined before you got them and that would just destroy the whole spirit of joy and happiness. I certainly would not want to do that!

HA! I guess they just wanted to you out of the country.

Anyway it is good news!

Stephen,
They had wanted us to "donate" the plane. We managed to get the plane out of Venezuela and over to Trinidad quickly. This seemed to anger them. However, they would not release the registration of the plane. This meant we could not fly, sale or move the plane in anyway. The FAA could not register the plane under US registry until Venezuela released the Venezuelan registration. They could only invent charges against us, but yes, they were charging us for doing "illegal" flights.
