Si, Señor!

"I have sent a message to cattle-raisers, slaughterhouses, warehouses, and vendors. Yet if they insist in running counter the interest of the people, the Constitution, and the laws, I will take over warehouses, grocery stores, and supermarkets for nationalization. Get ready!"
Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez

He wants to control everything doesn't he? I feel sorry for the people.

The "People" elected him did they not? Twice? You reap what you sow. And by this I don’t just mean the poor campesinos who bought into the Marxist claptrap but also those on the other end who seem to never allow the have nots in Latin America a means to get ahead. Venezuela has no rich country like the US next door and therefore no escape valve for the pressures that build up from living in a feudal society. You all have been there, are there now, is my perception of Latin America wrong? I admit I base this opinion on what I see going on in Mexico and it may not apply to Venezuela.
