Oh I can just see our little buddy Josh playing in that very cool room. Do you know I've never seen a photo of his loft before? But I sure have much about it! It looks like a dream space for any little guy.

These are great. You are lucky that you took as many pics as you did. We didn't take as many when we lived in the boonies of Canada!

I do have to confess: I love the one with the washing machine, as I can relate with you about having to do my laundry by hand when I was young... I hated it!

laundry!!!But, was that in the jungle or in Lara?. Cuz.. in the jungle you guys didn't have plumbing. You'll have to do a post on the
:D

What an interesting life you lead, Rita! I wouldn't know the first thing about building a jungle hut! LOL! Although my husband could figure it out, I'm sure, but I truly admire your entire family. :)

I was upset yesterday because my dryer broke down. Sheesh! I need to be thankful for my many blessings. I wouldn't want to wash clothes in our creek or stock pond. There are too many Water Moccasins. I can only imagine what may have been in that river!

Liz, For the last few years we had a gas powered water pump and elevated barrels which allowed us to have running water in the house!!! All part of our CIA equipment ,according to Chavez. We also supplied water to the dispensary and school.

WOW!!! Such a great life is right.

As a very young girl growing up in the country, I can remember wringing out clothes the way you were doing it. I remember wasing in a big black pot and hanging the clothes out to dry. In fact I had three babies before we got a washing machine that didn't have to have two tubs of water sitting around it. Even later before getting a dryer. God is so good to us wherever we are. He provides all that we need. Thank you so much for sharing another part of your life with us, it was a blessing. connie from Texas

Rita
we've been looking at your pictures of life growing up in the jungle.
My 15 yr old daughter and I were talking about how different a person would be, growing up that way. Your outlook on life would be so incredibly different from ours here in North America..at least that's what we came up with! :) Great pictures...that washer must have been soooo good to get! Laundry in the river..ha! I'll never complain again!
take care
Heather
