Why I have No Time to Write ...

As I unpack our boxes, I am amazed at how blessed we are. Two years ago we were forced to leave the jungle with no warning . The Presidential decree gave us only a few weeks to leave our home. This meant that most of our belongings had to remain there. So...where did all this stuff come from????

Unloading the container.

My living room.

Hmmm...you can take the girls out of the jungle...
but, can you take the jungle out of the girls????

my mom had a fire in 97 and lost 3/4 of her belongings. Afterward we were blessed by many people and many things.

I remember looking in the linen closet in her temp apartment and saying "Where'd all these sheets come from?" Mom, "I don't know!" Me, "Mom, you have to be the only person ever to have a fire...and end up with MORE sheets and towels than you had before it!"

God is good.

I see you've put pictures up on the walls. Every time I've moved, it never seemed like home until I had the pictures hanged and books in the shelves- even if everything else was still in boxes.

I know what you mean!

We only brought 6 suitcases and 4 carry-ons to Lebanon for a year. If I had to pack it up again, I couldn't to save my life.

When we evacuated and could only bring 4 carry-ons of stuff we still managed to end up with so much more than would ever fit in 2 years of being here. (I'm not counting furniture and stuff, obviously.)

It's amazing how much we can accumulate. I'm thinking I should feel guilty but I think I prefer to feel blessed. ;)

It could be worse. If I moved I'd have a couple of tons of ammo in crates to pack out!

It just seems to grow each year doesn't it.

Maybe you can get rid of some of the junk with a Garage sale.
