While watching television in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, one might wonder what is the native language of the country.
We also had Portuguese channels from Brazil, Telesur, from Venezuela, and a few Paraguayan channels as well. There were, by far, more Asian and Arabic channels than any other language groups.

I never thought of Paraguay as being so diverse. Looks like they have the melting pot concept down pat.
That's awesome! I've been trying to learn arabic for the past couple of years... maybe one day I'll swing by Paraguay!
That's quite surprising JM, bit worrying how far islam is spreading in the worlds isn't it.
When we lived in Armenia we had channels from several countries in the Mid-East in Arabic and English; all kinds of channels from Russia (Armenia used to be a Soviet Republic); and channels from many European countries in various languages. You could flip from Italian soap operas to Russian news to the God Channel Europe to porn from God knows where.
Very interesting!
