These particular photos are from a major event. I'm sorry you missed it! We had been watching a lot of the old musicals and the children decided to write and perform one for us. This was during the time Aunt Beth was with us, so she was the producer of this musical.
Here is the 'marquee'.
'The Palm Roof Musical'
The was the famous 'History Rap' by Joshua and Jackie !
( Quite hilarious! They wrote a rap incorporating all the facts from their latest history unit. We decided we were not very good at rapping.)

Precious Pictures, I absolutely love them.
These pictures are classics!!! I am going to homeschool this year, but I think we are gonna do home ec... although I may consider drama as well!!! LOL
Looks like so much fun!
The rap picture is hilarious. I've never heard of a Baptist rapper-it's no wonder. Did the whole town come out and enjoy?
Very cute!!!
How cute! They sure look like fun.
Aww!
Little Jayde is so cuuuute!
Did I tell you that before?
I am sure that Jackie and Jewel are enjoying those pictures... Y el sombrero de Jackie... creo que me hace recordar Indiana Jones...
Sounds like a great time. I love the photo with the heads peering out of the curtain. Very "I Love Lucy" / "Brady Bunch"
You shoulda taken the show on the road...
What a wonderfully creative curriculum!
ROFLOL! Loved the ol' Indiana Jones hat on Jackie. And her as a rapper - oh my! Jayde doing "Matchmaker" too cute! Thanks for the memories.
Oh that's so funny, looks like wonderful fun!
CUTE! :o)
Very neat! I also love the faces peeking through the curtain!
I've always told my kids that you don't need tv or the internet to have fun.
And I thought it was just my family who did things like that. I guess that many do.
Thanks for sharing.
Joshua certainly had a good rapper expression, though!
Oh my gosh! Too cute! What great parents you are! And what great memories!
AHHH Memories.....and a Mother's quest to make homeschooling more than just a classroom experience---
(Bet NO drama clas had as much fun as you did in your productions!!)
tooo sweet!!
Right now I'm reading a book called "Called to Die" by Steve Estes. It is about an American linguist, Chet Bitterman, who was a martyr for Bible translation. Ever hear of him? I think of you and your family when I read this book.
Everyone is always welcome -
especially you - to quote
anything from 'T&H' anytime.
Mighty cute kids!!!
That is SOOOO awesome!
Your children have no doubt grown up chock full of wonderful memories.
Truly, I love reading about your life in the jungle, and hope y'all publish a book very soon!
