The Things I See

Street Vendors

This and That

Jams and Jellies

Hammocks

Clothing

Strawberries (frutilla)

Roofing tiles

Ñanduti
Hand made Paraguayan Lace

My husband took these photos during our first visit to Paraguay.
You can tell by the sweaters and jackets that it was winter (September).

I can't think which I'd rather have...the hammock or the nanduti!!

Lovely JM, and thanks! I adore travel pics.I especially like the photo of the ladies with jams and jellies. My knowledge of Paraguay is so limited that your blog serves as a fascinating insider venue for me.
oh, and, i must say that there is nothing more 'sabroso' than a Latin country.

Firepig's knowledge of Paraguay is limitted, mine is pretty much non-existant, Rita. Thanks for the pic!

I especially like the picture of the lady selling hammocks. Paraguayans have such interesting faces, I love that about them!

MM, go with the nanduti the colors are fantastic. Are the tiles going to stay white? Just wondering.

Great pictures! I've never been to Paraguay when it's cold so it's fun for me to see the people in sweaters and hats!

Sometimes photos give a clearer picture than words, and this is one example. Loved to "see" life through them. Thanks.

Aw, man now I'm homesick for Mexico! Love shopping in the sobres! Is the fruit better than what you can find in the store?
