The Gift

(Cover page)

When we were married 24 years ago, my husband and I were both still in college and ...poor!So, I never had a nice wedding album and always intended to get one made up later. All I had were a few enlargements and the proofs. However, children came along and life got busy and other things always were more needed. The Album never happened.

Unbeknownst to me, my husband had found a photographer in Venezuela and had been sneaking photos out of the house to have him digitalise all of the wedding photos we had. He had them mounted in a beautiful leather album with a silver embossed crest with our initials. Each page was a montage of photos he and the girls had worked out with the photographer.

My son's girl friend brought it back to the USA in her suitcase because everyone knew I would discover it if left in the house while we were packing to move. She and my son had it beautifully gift wrapped for me.

My husband has never been able to surprise me! But I had no clue this time. Apparently, most of it happened during the time I was recuperating from my surgery. So I was not as mobile as usual or coherent due to the pain meds ! LOL! It was a lovely surprise! I will always cherish this album.

I will share a few of the pages with you, but am sure you do not wish to see all 22 pages!

( First page. This is Angel Falls ,the worlds highest water fall and located in the jungle of Venezuela.)

( The Happy couple.)

( Bride's Maid:My sister Pam, and best friend, Kimberly, both frequent readers here.)

What an absolutely awesome gift and wonderful surprise. You have a keeper there! It fits right in with today's Woman to Woman theme! You should link up there!

PS I can surprise my husband easily, because he lives in his own little world most of the time. But fooling me is tough. He got irritated with me this week because I went to the basement and saw a surprise - a new flat screen monitor. How do you suppose I was supposed to know to not go into my basement?? It was in plain sight. Goofy guy!! But I'll keep him for trying anyway!

That is BEAUTIFUL! Wowowow!

Congradulations! It's hard to surprize my mom, but my husband is the hard one to surprize in my marriage.

Rita, I also vote to 'see' the other pics!

See, I have the must terrible wedding photos... I'm going to steal your hubby's idea to have a decent album after all these years.

My husband should meet yours, Yekwanaman is very clever, hehehe.
