More than you ever wanted to know about Jungle Mom

This is my 400th post!!!

I have been tagged yet again . This time by ab5sy. I will try and come up with 8 new random facts about me that I have not already shared here on my blog! Hard to do, since I share so much. The good, the bad, and the ugly!

1) I have only tasted alcohol once in my life. That was by accident due to my own ignorance. I had to attend a Marine Corp Ball with my husband shortly after we were married.. I had a terrible cough and while he was away, a very nice Marine gave me a cup of punch to help me with my cough! Boy did it!!!

2) I am a speed reader! 1500 words per minute at 85% comprehension when last tested. Typing, now that, I am not so fast at!!!

3) I love archeology and in another life would have pursued that. I have seen the Aztec pyramids but would love to go to Egypt, as well as Peru to see the other pyramids .

4) I hope to sky dive before I die! But I do not ever want to scuba dive! That would scare me!

5) I love the taste of gator! Especially gator deep fried nuggets!

6) I can not whistle to save my life!

7) I graduated from High school at 16 and started college at the same age.

8) I was married at 18, pregnant at 19, and a mother at 20. ( Good thing I graduated early, huh?)

I am supposed to pick others to do this list, but so many of you have already done it...if you have not, and would like to, just let me know by leaving me a comment.

Here are the other random things I posted earlier.

I jumped while in the Military, but the thought of a free fall scares the jeevee's out of me.

Thanks for doing the Meme.

Like mother, like daughter huh? Since I will be 40 in Aug, I'm not ashamed to tell my age. People say I should be proud. You should too.

But what's more important is knowing that we are living our lives to the Lord always praising his name.

Rita Loca said...

Well Sherry, I am a little over 40!! I have been able to do a lot of living in that time, and I am grateful for that. heres to another 60!!!

Wow, you've been posting a long time! Congrats on the 400th!

Gator nuggets? That sounds, just, gross!

Susan said...

Yes!!! Rita I think you need to post 400 things about yourself. Just let me warn you - it will take you probably a month to compile it. I wrote and re-wrote and spent hours and days on just 100. It's work!!!

P.S. You said another 60 that would put you at 100. Not me I'm going for the 120 God promised unless He chooses to come back tomorrow and that would be fine, too!

I am a late comer to your blog, so these factoids help me feel I know a little more about you.

I am still catching up here. Have you left Venezuela? Where are you writing from now ?

Rita Loca said...

Charles, here is a post with links that will bring you up to date.

So fun to read more about you! I used to want to sky dive, but not anymore. I have been scuba diving and it's actually a lot of fun. : )

I've been blogging for two years and you've almost lapped me. Archeology interests me also but all the great ancient sites are in pretty hot regions and I don’t mean the weather. Plus it cost but maybe I could sign up for a dig.

I enjoyed getting to know a little more about you.
You asked about my 'gave my heart to a Marine' graphic. Unfortuneately, I cannot remember where I got it from. (oops!) If I remember or find it, again, I'll be sure to let you know!

Hello! Thanks for stopping by my blog!

You are definitely a smart one and I'm sure you'll have a lot more adventures in the next 60 years.
;-)

I'm saving you in favorites so I can come back and read more later.

Again, nice to *meet* you!

Thanks for the link to your updates. Actually I had read that already, though I admit to reading the archives in a semi random manor.

You had talked about a returning to the states, and I was wondering if you were in the U.S. currently. Or if you had moved to Paraguay.

The post about make-up laws caused me to wonder if you were actually still in Venezuela

Be happy and proud that you're 42! Besides, isn't Pam older? LOL hehehe

Rita Loca said...

Rancher; some of mine can hardly be called "posts" a lot of memes and quizzes.

Rita Loca said...

Sherry, YES! Pam is a lot older than I am. HEHE!!

Rita Loca said...

lori b: Pam is at Midnight Musings. I have seen your comments on her Show and Tell Friday posts.

I can't whistle either! I read fast, but not as fast as you do. My typing is quite fast: 110 wpm, when last tested. I've never jumped and don't ever intend to. I see no need to jump out of a perfectly good airplane! :) I did take flying lessons though, on small aircraft. I believe I would much rather scuba dive than jump out of an airplane. I love the taste of gator too, and rattlesnake. If you've never tasted rattlesnake, it tastes like sweet chicken. Delicious!

Rita Loca said...

gayle, YOU should be the one in the jungle, girl!!!Rattle snake, no thanks! Flying small aircraft to me is a necessary evil here in the jungle.

Liz said...

Gator nuggets, also taste like chicken, on the chewy side, though. I guess all reptiles would taste similar.

I can wistle! My husband and I do it while shopping in any big mall or shop, so we find each other. My son can't do it, so he mimicks the sound and finds us anyway ;-)

Does wearing a snorkel in Morrocoy counts as scuba diving? Nope, but that's how far I've done.

And don't you worry about age Rita.. I don't (NOT YET)!!)

What is your IQ for heaven's sake?! I think I read 12 words a minute! LOL! I read EVERY word and think about why they used it...maybe that's why I don't like reading very much. I normally read for education instead of entertainment except poetry etc.

Rita Loca said...

luvvom, My IQ, is high, but just ask my sister...I have no common sense at all!!!
