The Storms of Life

UPDATE: My son just called at 12:00 and says the surgeon has not yet arrived but that my Dad is more stable and they may wait until Monday for the surgery. He has not spoken directly to the surgeon so there seems to be some confusion.

Please uphold my Dad in prayer as he is having an emergency double bypass this evening. My mom, brother, and sister and her family as well as my son are all with him in Tampa. I am here in Venezuela and am feeling very lonely and useless as even my husband is not here. He is out of town and will not be back until Saturday.

Rita, I know you must feel so frustrated and anxious. Please know we have been lifting you up in prayer all day. I remember feeling like this last spring when Dad fell and broke his leg; they told him he might lose it. Even being in Ohio felt like a world away. But our Heavenly Father is right by his side.

Oh, Father! How helpless we feel in times like this. I pray for Your peace that passes understanding to enfold and comfort this entire family. And I pray for a physical healing in this heart that is already healed of sin. I thank you that you hold him tight, and love him perfectly. My you be real and present in all their hearts and minds tonight. Bring peace and rest for tomorrow's journey, and strength for what lies ahead. Thank you for your answered prayer. Amen

Although you are seperated by the miles, your are never seperated by the heart. God is holding your dad in his hand. I went through a quadruple bypass with my dad a few years back. My prayers are with you. If His eye is on the sparrow, you know He watches you. He is your source and comfort.

REMEMBER:

Sometimes God calms the storm

And sometimes He calms his child

Hey you all! Thanks for all the prayers and kind words. Thanks for simply taking the time to check back between out two blogs and let us know you are thinking of us all. It touches my heart so deeply! God is so good to have brought Rita and I into this blogosphere and *meet* all of you this way. I feel so close to you all even though we have never met most of you. Strange huh? Or just an awesome blessing from our loving Father!?
