A Wedding...

Richard and Maria Teresa

I promised pictures of the wedding last week. The groom, Richard, is an Assistant Pastor at our church in charge of the youth group, ages 15-18. He is Jewel's teacher and they have about 80 teens in their class.

I knew him as a small child when we first arrived in Venezuela 20 years ago. It thrills my heart to see him active and serving in the church.

So here are the BEFORE pictures.
The girls are going to kill me if they see these!

And the AFTER pictures!

Jewel

Jewel with escort, Oswaldo.

I had no idea Richard was getting married...and I know I've seen his bride before. The color of the bridesmaids' dresses was beautiful...and the girls too, of course! I saw Steven and Patri in the background of the pics...send me more! I haven't seen them since before kids, if you can believe that!

Beautiful bride and handsom groom and Jewel truly looks like a "Jewel" in that gown. Beautiful. After the wedding do all the wedding guest load up in cars and drive around honking? I grew up in Santa Fe, NM and that was the tradition among the Hispanic's. That is why I'm asking!

Congrats to the newlyweds! But also to the one doing the hairdos!!

I'd wished to have her around when I go to a party, beautiful job.

JM, tu "joya" brillaba... she is really cute.

PS: what an amazing seamstress!! But I see that there were different embroideries and sleeves. Tell us about it.

Curious Liz...

Liz, Yes, two of the dresses are different because they were in the van that was stolen a couple of weeks ago. They had just been picked up from the seamstress. It was quite a chore to go out and look for material and get them remade so quickly!

Oh. My. Goodness. Those dresses are so amazing. I have never seen such beautiful dresses in my life. THey do not remind me of anything I have ever seen in a wedding here in the states. What georgeous young women, every one of them. I am so delighted to see this.

Just figured out where I've seen that face...she must be Nathan's wife's sister...SAME face!

Caraqueña: NO!!! She was the ex!!! The other one is in the states now. but, Maria Teresa goes to Santa Biblia so you may have seen her.

Gorgeous all around.

Why does she look just like Marjorys? That IS Nate's wife...I'm sure of it (Marjorys, that is, not Mari Tere)!

Rita Loca said...

Caraqueña: This is Maria Teresa. Yes, Marllorys is Nate's wife.

Richard and Marllorys's siter, Maria de los Angeles, used to go together.

Maria de los Angeles lives in Conn. now.

Maria Teresa is a different Maria and not related.
